The Congregational Assembly format will allow participation both in-person and virtually. There is no fee charged for Assembly registration (virtual or in-person).
SCHEDULE
The Assembly begins with an opening session on Wednesday, June 26 at 9:00 a.m. The closing session will end on Saturday, June 29 by 3:00 p.m.
The daily sessions will be:
- 9:00 a.m.– 11:45 a.m. CDT
- 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. CDT for mid-day meal break
- 1:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. CDT
WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
You need to register through this site only if you are an Interactive Participant.
BVMs and Associate Participants will select either option 1 or 2 and be present either in person (1) or via Zoom (2) for all sessions.
You may choose to:
- Be present in person at the Mary Frances Clarke Chapel (fully interactive).
- Participate from anywhere, other than the Mary Frances Clarke Chapel, using Zoom for listening and break-out rooms (virtually interactive as an individual).
HOUSING OPTIONS
- Mount Carmel Bluffs - For Motherhouse accommodations only, please contact BCLS at 563-585-2887.
- Best Western Plus Hotel - Please make reservations through this site.
- Make your own arrangements for accommodations.
MEALS
Mid-day meals will be provided for all registrants participating in-person at the Mary Frances Clarke Chapel. Evening meals are not provided.
ASSEMBLY INTENTIONS
So that we will have a dynamic Congregational Assembly, promoting our life and mission, we will:
- Welcome the Spirit and one another into our contemplative space, open to nurturing our relationships and to engaging with questions that set us on realistic, nimble paths to possible action.
- Pace the rhythm of our time together in ways that honor the expressed desire to go deeper, to be flexible, and to appreciate the wisdom, fidelity, and diversity among us.
- Bridge the work of Assembly 2023 to the work of Assembly 2024 and exchange our wisdom about the implications for the election of our new leaders in 2025.
